SWC -Monolite is a new system of monolithic and insulating construction based on novel panel structure, developed in Europe and now widely used in many countries throughout the world. The SWC -Monolite panel consists of a double galvanised wire net, which is remarakably strong yet extremely light weight, and of an inner layer of insulating material (polystyrene).The novelty and main advantage of the panel lies in the opportunity of using it.not only as a partition but also as a load bearing element in both walls and floors. The single SWC-Monolite panel can be used as load bearing walls, ceilings and floors in residential and other buildings where new standards of insulation are being introduced to meet targets of energy conservation. The self extinguishing Polystyrene core has been tested to International Standards as an inert plastic with thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/mK. It does not contain nor does it use CFCs in its manufacture, has a toxity not greater than wood and can be safely left on the site for several weeks. When sprayed with concrete render of 30mm minimum thickness over the leading ridges of the corrugated polystrene using rapid pne.umatic application, it provides a high insulating and acoustic characteristics and immense strength.The thickness of the polystrene core can be varied to suit insulation Or strength needs.
