These stones corblesd are stitched together by wrought iron dowels. These dowels corroded due to humid and salty air and cracked the stone corbles.The damage to the corbles were so extensive that they caused imminent danger to deities and pilgrims. Structural strengthening.The corble stones were planned to be stitched together by means of threded stainless steel rods of 20mm diametre and 1500 mm long and grade 316. These stainless steel rods were inserted into drilled holes and grouted with Epoxy Resin. For preservation of original stone, two phase strategy was formulated to provide a preservative curtain inside the main walls of the temple around the Gurva Griha by means of grid grouting the entire surfaces with PMC grout.The second face of the strategy was to provide a preserrvative coating on the outside stone surface to retard the process of ageing. |

The metro railway project involved constyruction of underground tunnel in the city, the route of the underground tunnel pass through densly populated area of the city with heavy traffic., The operational problem stated above called for setting up of the Batching plant about three to four kms.away from site. Transportation of the concrete mix to the site of placement was by means of tranjsit mixtures and agitator cars. The time estimated between making and placing of concrete was around 90 minutes to 120 minutes. The slump required at pouring point for pumping was 150 mm. SWC Admixtures were used to design a concrete mix having initial slump of 200 mm which after 90 minutes retained a slump of 150 mm. |

NATHPA Jhakri project is one of the biggest hydel projects executed in Asia, which generates 1500MW of electricity. Since hydro electric projects involve tunneling, the major problem faced earlier was to stabilize and prevent freshely exposed rocks, perticularly overhead after each blast, from collapsing. Conventionally, ribs were used, which had to be filled to give the necessory support for tunneling to progress. This process was time consuming and hampered the progress of tunneling.SWC got actively involved to phase out the above by introducing Resin Capsules.Resin capsules gave immediate roof puffort which attained strength as required.Resin capsules are are available in various dimensions suiting the requirements of the users. |
