AIREN |
AIREN is a highly alkaline solution, which can be mixed with water with a specific gravity of 1.02. It is an air entraining agent, based on selected resin, complying with ASTM-C260-66T & IS: 9103-1979. | AIREN should be used, wherever a well compacted durable concrete, resistant to extreme thermal variation and frost action, is required. Such situations include roads, runways, pavings, hardstands, canal lining, open storage areas etc. AIREN is of great benefit in light weight concrete blocks, so that blocks meet thermal insulation requirements. AIREN gives increased durability for dense concrete and because of the entrained air, a reduction in material costs is achieved. | A dosage of 50 - 100 ml. of AIREN per 50 kg. of cement will normally produce an entrained air of 5±1%. The appropriate dosage of AIREN will vary depending upon the particular materials and mix design being used. The exact dosage should be determined by site trials. Generally the higher the dosage, the greater the air entrapment but mixes with low workability requires a higher dosage to give a specific air content. In addition, concrete having a low cement but high sand content will require less AIREN than a cement rich, low sanded concrete. Other factors to be taken into account include aggregate grading, strength requirements, yield & temperature. | AIREN is available in 25 & 200 litre drums and 40 litres of HDP Carbuoy. | 1 year if kept in unopened condition. | |

CN - PLAST - PRR |
It is a colourless liquid, improving the workability of pumped concrete CN-PLAST -PPR is a concrete admixture based on long chain polymers combining the properties in concrete plasticizer, retarder and rheology improver. It complies with IS: 9103 -1979 and ATM C 494. | CN - PLAST - PPR improves the cohesion of high workability concrete mixes. It faciliates to produce cohesive, consistent concrete without grout - drainage. When CN - PLAST - PPR is added to a less fines concrete mix, it increases the adhesion of the cement grout to the aggregate particles. This results in considerably reduced segregation where the mix is being placed by a pneumatic pump. | CN - PLAST - PPR is ready to use for maximum dispersion throughout the mix. Measured quantity of CN - PLAST - PPR should be added directly into the the mixer at the same time as the mixing water. On no account, should it be added to the dry cement. | The optimum dosage is best determined by site trials with actual concrete mix. As a guide, the rate of addition is generally in the range of 250 mi. to 500 ml. per 50 kg. cement. Higher dosage may have to be used for concreting at high ambient temperature or for very harsh and very rich mixes (450kg/cu.m.) | 25,100,200 litres metal / plastic container | 1 year if kept in unopened condition. |
|
CN - PLAST - AP |
Concrete Plasticiser, normal water
reducing admixture with air entraining agent, based on modified ligno
sulphonates, combining the properties of super plasticiser, high range
water reducing agent and air entraining agent as per IS 9103-1979, ASTM
C 494 & ASTM C260). It is a dark brown liquid and it is combining the properties of Air Entrainment and water reduction. It compensates the fall in strength normally associated with conventional Air Entraining Agents. Produces an extremely workable flowing concrete without loss of strength or enables large water reduction to be made for the same workability. It also acts on the the interface of the sand and water to produce stable microscopic air bubbles uniformly distributed throughout concrete. Thus it gives a concrete better cohesion and workability, reduced segregation and bleeding, which often occur when utilising low quality aggregates and harsh mixes, deficient in fines. |
CN-PLAST -AP should be used wherever a well compacted durable concrete, resistant to extreme thermal variation and frost action is required. Due to this cement saving property the heat of hydration is reduced in mixed concrete. Most suitable for water proof concrete canal lining, water retaining structures, dams, powerhouse, basements, swimming pools etc. When using harsh aggregates, it produces most cohesive concrete. CN - PLAST - AP is of great benefit in light weight concretes, where it improves workability and reduces tendency to bleed. It is useful in reducing the density of light weight concrete blocks, so that blocks meet thermal insulation requirement. CN - PLAST - AP gives increased durability to dense concrete and because of the entrained air, reduction in material costs is achieved. | Take required quantity and place
it directly to wet concrete mix or along with gauging water and mix for
2 minutes to get required air entrainment. Dosage is to be determined
by site trials to get desired air entrainment. CN - PLAST - AP is supplied ready to use. For maximum dispersion throughout the mix, measured quantity of CN - PLAST - AP should be added directly into mixer at the same time, alongwith the mixing water. On no account should it be added to the dry cement. |
Normally with 300kg cement / cu.m. of concrete, Zone II Sand, 20mm aggregate, 150ml is sufficient to get 4 to 5 % air at 30° C. Range 100ml. to 200ml. per 50 kg. bag of cement | CN - PLAST - AP is available in 25 and 200 litre containers. | 1 year if kept in unopened condition. |
|
RETARDPLAST |
RETARDPLAST is dark brown liquid which imparts versatile properties to concrete. It is a set retarding and water reducing admixture, complying with ASTM C-494, Type D & IS 9103- 1979. | As a set cetarder to delay the setting of concrete. To retain concrete in its plastic state for a desired length of time, particularly during long hauls or during hot weather concreting. Excellent in site where the place of production of concrete and its pouring point is at a distance. RETARDPLAST also helps to reduce the water cement ratio, without affecting workability or strength development. Using this advantage and by fine tunning a concrete - mix design, cement saving can be achieved by introducing RETARDPLAST through trials, without compromising workability or ultimate strength of the mix. Ideal for concrete made in batching plants or RMC units. It is recommended for pile concreting and in the areas with congested reinforcement, slip-form concrete and diaphragm walls. | RETARDPLAST is supplied ready for use. It should be added to concrete mixes during the mixing process at the same time as the water or the aggregates. It should not be added directly to the cement. No extension of normal mixing time is required. | This varies from 0.2-1.0 litre per 50 kg. bag of cement depending upon the amount of retardation required and on ambient conditions. The optimum dosage should be determined by site trials. | RETARDPLAST is available in 25, 100 & 200 litre containers. | 1 year if kept in unopened condition. |
