ROOF - LIQ

ROOF - LIQ is a special waterproofing compound of synthetic base with additional water repellent for prevention of leakage of water through any type of roof structure. Treatment with ROOF - LIQ will prevent any leakage for a number of years, unless fresh cracks develop due to various other physical factors. This can, however, be made good immediately, by applying the compound in the affected area. ROOF - LIQ must be applied in two coats, the second coat after the first is thoroughly dry .(Preferably on the next day.) 1kg. per 1.12 sq. meters. ?If the compound is dry due to partial evaporation of the solvent caused by leakage from the container or due to prevailing heat or other factors, if brushing is found difficult: add about 120 - 180ml. of kerosene per kg. of the material and thoroughly stir. This will facilitate easy and smooth brushing. It is available in 5 & 25 kg. containers. 6 months if kept in unopened condition.

SEALCOTE

A single pack clear acrylic resin based water repellent coating. Suitable for concrete blocks, bricks, stone cement plaster to seal moisture movement completely and permanently.

Surface preparation is very vital before the application of this product. Surface should be free from running water and it should be dry. Application by spray or brush.

Coverage: 3 to 5 sq. mete per kg. Consumption depends on surface texture. It is available in 5, 20 and 100 kg. containers. 1 year if kept in unopened condition

ARMOURCRETE

An acrylic based polymer modified cementitious coating system. The ARMOURCRETE polymer, when mixed with cement, will provide a mortar with better adhesive properties, impact resistance, flexural strength and thin section fragility, when compared to ordinary cement mortar. It is used with cement to form polymer modified cementitious coating (PMCC). In addition, if used with varying amounts of silica/quartz sand and produces PMC brush topping, PMC filler and PMC mortar. All the above materials are extensively used for waterproofing and strengthening of existing external surface to prevent ingress of water. To produce a PMC mix slurry, brush topping or mortar, required quantity of ARMOURCRETE is to be mixed with proper amount of cement. The PMC material is placed on the surface to be treated after wetting the surface to a saturation, without any free moisture. The curing of the PMC material is only nominal and is required for a maximum of 3 days, starting one day after application. For PMC slurry for 1 coat : use ARMOURCRETE -0.25 kg, Cement ~ 0.5 kg For PMC slurry for 2 coats : use ARMOURCRETE -04 kg, Cement. 0.8 kg PMC brush topping 1.5 mm/sq. meter thick ; ARMOURCRETE -0.67 kg, Cement. 1.3 kg fine silica Sand = 1.3 kg For PMC filter & mortar, the mix ratio can be approximately as follows ARMOURCRETE -1 kg, Cement -2 kg, Graded Sand = 5.6 kg For other uses as PMC filter and mortar, please consult SWC specification. It is available in l, 5 & 25 kg. containers. 1 year if kept in unopened condition.

MARINECOAT

It is a single component water based liquid, which has to be mixed with portland cement and fine silica sand in the desired proportion to produce a pasty material that will bond well with mixed steel, galvanized steel and iron. Provides corrosion resisting coatings to steel structures in sea or fresh water - salt spray environment. Suitable for bridges desks, ship docks, ballast tank for ships, steel water mains, pipings and other above ground and underground tanks. When exposed to traffic, it can be used under wet condition. Correct surface preparation is important for the performance of the coating. The surface to be treated should be properly cleaned to remove all deleterious materials. After mixing the components in the paddle type mixer at site, the resulting creamy slurry of thick paint consistency can be applied with the roller, brooms, brushes or air operated sprays to build up the desired thickness. Air cure for about 3 days - for normal cases and water cure for about 3 days when the surface treated is subjected to continuous water exposure. One cubic meter of MARINECOAT requires the following:
MARINECOAT-446kg.
Portland cement - 858 kg
Fine Silica sand - 858 kg.
For a 2mm thickness of coating, the requirement will be about 4 kg of the three component marine coating.
The generally applicable thickness thickness ranges from 0.8 to 1.0 mm. The corresponding requirement can be worked out from the 2mm thickness value.
It is available in 5, 25 containers. 1 year if kept in unopened condition.

STRUCO LATEX

A versatile product which can be mixed with cement slurry, mortar concrete, or grout as per recommended dosages for waterproofing, bonding or repair purposes. Checks rising dampness, damp walls and salt petre. It can also be used as an admixture for grouts or concrete. a) For bond coat, dilute 100 gm STRUCO LATEX with 400 gm water and mix this with 1 kg. cement to form a slurry. This slurry will cover 2 sqmts. b) For mortar or render, STRUCO LATEX can be diluted In the ratio 1 :2 to 1 :10 (latex: water) and this mixture can be added to sand, cement and mortar. a) For grout, add 2 to 3 kgs per bag of cement. d) For concrete use 2% to 6% , by weight of cement. a) For bond coat, 100 gms. of STRUCO LATEX will cover 2 sq. meter. b) In 1:4 cement: sand mortar, if STRUCO LATEX i$ diluted with gauging water in the ratio 1 :4 the consumption of Latex will be about 50 gms/mml §qm, For 1 :6 cement: sand mortar, if STRUCO LATEX i~ diluted with gauging water in the ratio 1: 10 the consumption of Latex will be about 20 gms/mm/sqm. It is available in 500 gms, 1 kg., 5 kg., 25 kg. and 100 ka containers 1 year if kept in unopened condition.

TAPELASTIC

A two component, polymer modified, elastomeric surfacing system for protection and waterproofing of concrete and masonry. For damp proofing and waterproofing of interiors and exteriors of concrete, mortar, rendering brickwork and blockwork. Suitable against rising dampness, saltpetre, water tanks, swimming pools and liquid retaining structures or saline cracks. Mix both components thoroughly using low speed drill and paddle. Apply this within 30 minutes on sound and clean surface, which is damp (SSD condition). Apply second coat after 2 to 3 hours. Protect the coating for 12 hours, after application from rain or abrasion. A final protective screed is required over the TAPEPLASTIC screed. 1to 2 kgs per sq. meter for 2 coats. It is available in 4 kg. and 20 kg. containers. 1 year if kept in unopened condition.

ARMOURSHIELD

Prefabricated waterproofing membranes produced by SWC , manufactured under the technical knowhow from Italy, obtained by co- extrusion of a specific waterproofing mass (compound) and a specific reinforced synthetic, non woven polyster fabric. The membranes are extremely flexible and highly resistent to thermal stress, ARMOURSHIELD guarantees constant and uniform performance in all environmental conditions. It is used for waterproofing of roof, underground structures, water reservoirs, swimming pools, etc. The special waterproofing composition of ARMOUR SHIELD membranes, create great resistance to atmospheric agents, particularly ultra violet rays. The underside of ARMOURSHIELD membranes are protected by special non stick polyethylene film which melts upon torching. In the MINERAL version, the top surface is protected by a uniform layer of natural coloured slate chipping and has both a top lateral selvage for overlapping. Surface to be waterproofed should be dry, clean and leveled. The product is torched on with a minimal propane gas over a primer BITCOTE. It is easy and fast to apply. For 1 sq.meter area, approximately 1.15 sq. meter of material is required, which includes the required overlap. It is available in 1 X 10 metre rolls. 1 year if kept in unopened condition.
