TISCO-MODERNISATION — JAMSHEDPUR
Placing of large volume of concrete in succesive layers to form a monolithic structure is carried out in the construction of Dams, Bridges, Decks, Foundations by using retarding admixtures in the concrete. These admixtures are also used to overcome the accelerated effects of high temperature during setting of concrete in hot weather concreting.
SWC - Plast-R has been developed to overcome these problems and has been succesfully used in many large pours of concrete. For example it was used extensively for continuous pouring of large volume of concrete (about 3800 cu.m.) for foundation of blast furnace of Tisco modernization and also for pouring of concrete for TG deck slab of 6th unit of Tata Electric to eliminate cold joints. In mass concrete SWC - Plast-R helps in releasing heat of Hydration over a longer period of time thereby eliminating possibilities of thermal cracking.
The water reducing properties of SWC - Plast-R gives highly workable concrete with low water-cement ratio. Cohesive mix helps in smooth placing of concrete without any segregation. Due to dense concrete the permeability is reduced with improved durability and resistance to chemicals.
